you are an animal.

I know this book is old news in the land of vegan cookbooks but I feel the need to profess my undying love for it. This was the first vegan cookbook I bought nearly three years ago on the day I decided to go vegan so therefore it holds a special place in my collection. I have made nearly every recipe.  Isa’s Pizza makes people swoon.  So, thank you Isa Chandra Moskowitz, your tofu scramble changed my life.

He’s only lived with me for two weeks and we are still getting to know one another, but I’m so madly in love. Bird was a stray kitten brought to a shelter outside of Seattle.  He was so timid and scared at the shelter that he was not considered adoptable, and was going to be killed.  Luckily someone got him to the Seattle Persian and Himalayan Rescue, where fate (or all the time i spend on petfinder) brought us together. He’s sweet and shy but he loves attention and purrs endlessly.  When we got him, he didn’t even have the confidence to walk around.  He does something amazing and new everyday.  He’s becoming comfortable in our bed.  He rolls around and sneaks closer to you as you pet him.  He had a sad look in his eyes that is becoming replaced with kittenish curiosity.  Bird, darling, you are adored.
