I could read this website all day. Professor Gary Francione takes an amazingly well-defined and consistent approach towards animal rights:
“The mission of this website is to provide a clear statement of a nonviolent approach to animal rights that (1) requires the abolition of animal exploitation; (2) is based only on sentience and no other cognitive characteristic, and (3) regards veganism as the moral baseline of the abolitionist approach.”
And I love that he admits to being a “harsh and relentless critic of animal welfare,” his arguments against animal welfare and for animal rights are pretty irrefutable. Listening to his interviews and reading some of his work definitely solidified a few things in my mind.
