Since I don’t have a television, I have yet to see Whale Wars, but I love Captain Paul Watson.

Speaking at the NYC release party for Karen Dawn’s book, “Thanking the Monkey: Rethinking the Way We Treat Animals,” Watson made two lovely statements:

“A vegan driving a hummer contributes less greenhouse gas emissions than a meat eater riding a bicycle.”

and

“You cannot be an environmentalist unless you are a vegetarian or vegan”

I love that one.  Can’t wait to use it on the next “environmentalist” who crosses my path.
